While some opinions are that this is too soon for a website visitor’s application, always remember that your homepage should provide a good impression very quickly to catch the visitor’s attention. If a website visitor finds something that they don’t like, they may just forget about signing up anyway.

An effective form to allow people to subscribe to an opt-in list is easy to develop as it is just a short simple short statement about how they would like to see more and get updated about the site. There should be a simple clear area where they can put in their name and email address. If you can get their postal address as well all the better as people always open letters as they’re curious and once they have opened the letter and read a couple of headlines, there is more chance they will read-on, whereas with emails, you can read the subject line and decide if you’re going to open or delete.

The web form will automatically save the data and send you the data and the more people that sign in, will increase your list size for no extra capital outlay.
