Selling an information product on line is normally easier than selling a service, but selling services with monthly memberships generally makes more money.


To ensure your new working from home business venture is going to succeed, you must make sure that your customers are going to be interested in what you are selling. Review your competitor’s sites and carry out as much research as you can in all of the media areas such as newspapers, internet sites, etc, to learn as much as you can about your target market customer base.


The main three reasons that customers will buy your products are usually;

  • the product has solved a problem for them,
  • it has made life easier or
  • it has made life more comfortable for them.


Looking at your customers sites may give you ideas that would make your product better than your competitors. Look at their traffic rankings, and their related links, which will give you an idea as to how popular their sites and products are.


Put yourself in your customer’s shoes and try to imagine what you would WANT to make your life better or easier or just to feel better. Look at the latest trends to see if you could make a product or service better to your customers which would make them keep coming back for more. Don’t just look at the normal, everyday products, but look at ALL areas of your customer’s life to see how you could improve it.


Once you have found your niche market you need to ask yourself if this serves your customers needs and how you need to market it to provide an excellent service to each and every person who spends their money with you.


This minimizes complaints, bad reputations and, worse of all, refunds. It also ensures that your customers have confidence in you and rely on your judgment for future products which should ensure that your home based company’s profitability keeps growing.
